Chiricahua Pastured Raised Meats is located along Kansas Settlement Road, near Willcox, Arizonza. This is the high desert of southeastern Arizona.
Our Mission is to produce meat in an ecologically sound, healthy and profitable manner. Our grass-fed beef and lamb are raised on irrigated pastures year round and supplemented with high quality hays when needed.
We strive for ecological as well as economic strength. Crops are grown using integrated crop management practices. Our lambs and calves at weaning age are raised to a mature weight without antibiotics, steroids or growth stimulants.
Our pastured animals are allowed to free feed and have plenty of fresh water, trees or covers for shade and acreage great enough for them to move and browse freely. They are not hurried to grow. We strive for meat that is mild, sweetly flavored and tender.
All meat grown on this farm is processed at Guzman’s Meat Processing, a USDA inspected facility approximately 12 miles from the farm. This facility is a family owned business in Cochise, Arizona. At one time Josh worked there and is familiar and comfortable with the practices and the cutting procedures.
Meat is delivered cryovac wrapped and frozen. However, whole or ½ beeves and lambs are sold as well. They too are frozen but can be paper wrapped thereby saving a little.
